Create together. Celebrate each other. Make impact visible.
ImagineYou-CD is being designed around the idea that learning can become stronger when young people build with peers, share with families, learn from mentors, and contribute to their communities.
GROWTH · Envisioned Community FormatsCreator Showcases
Envisioned as short, welcoming exhibitions where students could present not only what they made, but what they changed along the way.
Team Innovation Sprints
A potential format where small teams take different roles—researcher, maker, storyteller, tester—and learn how disciplines combine.
Design for Community
An envisioned activity where students could choose a local challenge and practice listening, designing with—not for—people, and improving ideas from feedback.
Family Make Nights
A planned concept where adults and kids could build side-by-side with low-pressure prompts that make STEM feel social, creative, and accessible.
Our community design intention
Young people should not have to arrive already confident, technical, athletic, artistic, or “good at STEM.” The initiative is being designed to make room for different strengths and to help future participants notice the skills they are developing.
We value curiosity over perfection.
A good question can be more powerful than a fast answer.
We value making over passive consumption.
Students should spend more time creating, discussing, testing, and reflecting than watching someone else demonstrate.
We value voice.
When students explain their choices and present their ideas, they begin to see themselves as contributors—not just learners.
We value impact.
The goal is not simply exposure to technology. It is the belief that technology, design, and creativity are tools they can use to shape what happens next.
Bring the whole ecosystem together.
Planned programs, future mentors, families, and potential partners could all have a role in helping young people build the future.
