Young people need to see the people behind the possibility.
ImagineYou-CD envisions mentorship as a future pathway for making careers more human—turning an abstract job title into a story, a set of skills, a challenge, and a next step.

What a strong future mentor experience could do
A future mentorship format could give students access to thinking, not just biography. Instead of “Tell us about your job,” mentors could show an unfinished sketch, explain a mistake, demonstrate a tool, walk through a decision, and answer the question: “What do you wish you knew when you were my age?”
AI Builder
Shows how models, data, testing, ethics, and human judgment come together.
Product Designer
Shows sketches, prototypes, materials, feedback, and how user needs shape choices.
Motion Creator
Shows storyboards, timelines, effects, sound, iteration, and production teamwork.
Potential mentor prompts
- Show one thing you made before it was finished.
- Tell us about a decision where two good options competed.
- What skill do people misunderstand about your job?
- What did you practice outside school that later became useful?
- Give us a ten-minute challenge that uses one skill from your work.
Connect planned mentorship to career exploration.
The envisioned model would give students a way to practice the skill they just heard about.
